I've been into the whole space thing lately thanks to the recent series on the DSC channel. It even caused me to go and re-watch my FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON series I have on DVD. I mean... how can you NOT love this shit?

I got this link from this article: CR Review Special: Bart Beaty On David Hajdu's The Ten-Cent Plague, Part One. I look forward to reading the rest of the parts, as I really want to read this book.

The more reviews I read on this, it seems that Hajdu did a decent job, but that there is certainly more to the story than what is in the Ten Cent Plague. If nothing else, I believe that Hajdu has brought this part of american history to light to a bunch of people who never knew it existed. He may have left out a few facts, but has opened the door to more analysis from other angles by future writer / historians.

Here's a brief look at one Batman DTV that nearly came to pass - Batman: Asylum.

Countless projects are shut down at various stages of production. Whether it's just after the initial idea pitch or early into design work, etc., some productions just aren't able to make it for one reason or another. This is a brief look at Batman: Asylum, a Direct-To-Video feature that could have been.

After the success of the 1998 direct-to-video feature Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero, Warner Bros. Animation commissioned a new Batman DTV. Boyd Kirkland was slated to produce and Steven E. Gordon (X-Men: Evolution) was set to work on character design. The movie was dubbed Batman: Asylum. What made this project unique was that Kirkland was able to convince Warner Bros. Animation to allow all the characters to be redesigned from scratch for the project.

Ok, go see this while you can! It's a trailer for a Japanese flick called MACHINE GIRL. Think Kill Bill + anime + even more blood & machines!!!

Here I have Galactus and a few of his heralds, with a Watcher and a Ronan the Accuser. An old FF issue is what is on display at the moment. How about that Ronan piece? Good luck getting one. hehehe...

Here are a handful of cosmic characters with 2 covers from FF Foes. One is for the Super Skrull and one is for Annihilus. If you know the Annihilus MB, maybe you can see how I widened his wings! hehehehe...

Behind him is Goliath, Giant Man (and the Wasp). On his right is a sweet Whirlwind and in front of him are both Wasps.

The comic behind the statues is Tales to Astonish 57, and early Spider-Man appearance where he fights the Wasp and Giant Man on the cover. Spidey's 14 app I think.

This is one of a few Bowen MB's that I've had customized into another character. Joey (aka: moonknight1971) did this for me. I highly doubt that BD will ever be able to make a Yellow Claw, or as we recently learned - "Golden Claw," because I think there is a rights issue. So I bought and extra Mandarin and had it become this!

I have photos all over the net, but I'm trying to centralize them. I'll be posting more of mu customs soon!
